BEING THE CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE
UNTIL IT'S END

Contemplation of the multifaceted concept of mortality and the possible interpretations of the afterlife.
The installation depicts dead aquarium fish typically found for sale in pet shops, bred for display and amusement. Symbolising humanity's pervasive influence over life forms, juxtaposed with the inevitability of their eventual demise. This juxtaposition invites viewers to reflect on the extent of human dominion over existence and the profound existential questions it poses about the nature of life and its ultimate conclusion. Challenging conventional perceptions of human centrality in the universe, suggesting that our understanding of existence is shaped by our subjective perspectives until the individual universes end.

Installed indoors in the gallery, precisely weighted five kilograms of snow sourced from nature sits within a metal bucket. Slowly melting in unsustainable environment.

Natural snow placed in an artificial environment prompts contemplation on the very concept of finiteness.
