Dolné Hony are a peripheral part of Bratislava the capital city of Slovakia, Known for its history associated with drug problems and the lives of socially disadvantaged groups. The natural growth of the capital gradually absorbs even the last, problematic parts of the housing estates.

The new, more prosperous present daily encounters its raw past in this place, and social problems are addressed through being ignored and marginalised.Having spent 23 years growing up and living here, I was inspired to create this photo series. It's not just a homage, but also a testimony to the evolving state of our streets and housing estates. This collection encapsulates an image of a lifestyle that changes rapidly.Instead of waiting decades to compare old and new pictures, it only takes a couple of months to witness the dynamic transformations of this vibrant part of the city.
